Heartbreaking.

STBXH and I have been getting along so well lately. I think we've both accepted things for what they are and have started moving on. We haven't had an argument/fight in over a month!

 Until last night.

I had the stomach flu over the weekend, which was also my weekend with M. I was supposed to drop M off with her dad at 5pm yesterday. He texted me at 10 of to ask if I could wait til 5:15 because he was just getting home from running errands and needed a shower. He said the door was unlocked and to come in when we got there. Well, I was 5 minutes early. And he b*tched at me like I had been 20 minutes early. I tried to keep my cool but my voice turned to ice and told him to give me a goddamned break since I obviously felt like crap and really just wanted to crawl into bed.

Then Maddy's lip started to quiver and she looked at me with tears in her eyes and said "Maddy scared."

I soothed her, kissed her goodbye, and left crying. Sometimes I feel like the biggest parenting FAIL ever.
