My DH and I have a 4 month old daughter named Willow. I have been trying to think of a cute little nn for her, but have come up with nothing. A little help, please? Thank you!
Its hard with a name like Willow.. You dont want to call her Willy or LoLo.. How about a cute name that is not based on her name? Like Love Bug or Sugar Pie..lol
just give it time. Our lo has gone through a bunch of nn's most have had nothing to do with her name. Many of them have been longer versions like josie bug, stinkerbelle amd josephina mozzarella. It just hapens very organically. Some names don't need a nn. Btw willow is a lovely name and boy does she have some fashion sense.

Thank you everyone! I don't really need a nickname for her, I was just toying around with some. We usually call her Willy or Willis, just for fun. I like to see what people come up with here. And SnoopyLuv, you're right. I will give it time. And thank you. I've loved the name Willow since forever. Thanks again ladies
I've said this before, hands down my favorite girls name in the world is Willow I always "knew" it would be my future daughter's name until I fell in love with my man...whose LN is Willis, Willow Willis? ::sigh::: I think the NN Leelo would be really cute!
Re: Need help with a nickname
I don't think Willow really needs a NN...but...
Willie?
Willa?
Willow-Tree?
Tree?
Lola?
first thought was willa.
i'm sure a nickname will randomly surface once you get to know her...perhaps the nickname will have nothing to do with her name

Don't force it. Nicknames either develop organically or they don't. Not every child needs a nickname. Willow is a perfectly fine name on its own.
I agree with this. DDs nicknames are Booger, Tushy, and of course Brookie. I actually use Brookie the least.
Some names just don't lend themselves to nicknames easily. My dad always called me CL
