Callan/Callen for a boy?

Just came across this name today, and saw that it is a unisex name. Pronounced Cal-in, not Kay-lin.  Is it masculine enough, or does it seem like a girls name?  I haven't seen it much, and hope that it is a bit uncommon, as I am not a fan of popular names.  Which spellings seem more masculine?

I know a boy named Dallan, so I think of it as a masculine name. As for the spelling, I don't think it much matters, but Callan is close to Calla, so maybe that makes it seem more feminine? It's an alright name, nonetheless.

I definitely think 'boy', even without being familiar with the names. Boys names that end in "an/en" are very popular right now, so I don't think you'd have to manay problems with people thinking it's girly.

Callen was my top pick for a boy.  My friend just had her baby boy last week and didn't announce the name until the birth.  Low and behold the name was Callen!!

Callan is my DS's name : )

 It was one of the only names we could agree on. I really love it, even though I mostly prefer very classic names in general (DH says I like "old people" names).

Callan was mine and DHs choice if this one was a boy. DH loves the NN Cal.

I like it, it's Irish if I'm not mistaken.  I prefer the Callen spelling.

Callan, I guess, seems more masculine... it doesn't seem girly to me, but it also doesn't seem like a first name/ anything interesting. With Kellan/Kellen gaining popularity as well, these 4 just bleed together in my mind.

I MUCH prefer Callum. No mistaking that for a girl (I hope!)

Callan is our future boy name, and "G Callen" from NCIS: LA is exactly where we got it from. I love the nn Cal for Callen as well
