Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

xp anyone have 2 summer inf monitors going at the same time?

our kids are in separate rooms. we have had all sorts of monitor & camera issues over hte last 19 months & we were using 2 different brand monitors in each room. well the one finally bit the dust and so we just got a 2nd one of the other, it is the summer infant slim & secure. We have been really happy with the one we have had. (don't ask me why we opted not to just do the 2nd camera, we're weird & like each having monitors at night b/c our kids still wake a lot so it splits up the 'work' so to speak).

Anyway, since we have the 2nd one, both the monitors periodically (like every 5-10 seconds or so for a couple minutes and then again like that maybe 10 min later, etc) flash 'no signal' over & over... i don't know if it is b/c signals are getting crossed or they're picking up on the other camera or what but the picture doesn't change & we seem to still be able to hear (from what I can tell) but it is weird that it keeps flashing like that....

Anyone else have this situation?Thanks!

(also the new one's picture seems a little more 'jumpy' than the first one. kind of odd.)

  • We have 2 summer video monitors and the go at the same time and we have no issues.  However, they are different frequencies.  You might want to check what your frequencies are.  If they are the same then my understanding is you will have some problems.

  • I've had great experiences with the Summer Infant customer service so you might just want to try calling them tomorrow.  I had issues with the handheld portion not charging and they sent me new batteries and a new charger.  If I remember correctly you get a real person pretty quick so it should be a quick call.

  • We have 2 Summer Infant video monitors but they are the Secure Sleep kind, this kind insures that there is not interference from the other one. Here's the link...
