ETA: My grandmother was Murble (Mer-bull). Not exactly a pretty name, or one I would want to use but it's definitely unique!

I heart Eleni. It means light, right? That's been on my list since college but DH nixed it. He said it sounded like Elaine and made him think of Julia Louis-Dreyfus's full body dry heave dance. Nice. Please use it so I can live vicariously through your ticker!

I met a girl from Ireland named Mairead (pronounced Mer-AID). I've always thought that was a pretty name. Apparently fairly common in Ireland but you hardly ever hear it here.

I don't know very many unique names personally (as in ones my friends have actually used). But seeing #2 on your list made me think of a few.

My baby's name will be Sabina. Not unique, but ancient and rarely heard in the States, although quite popular in many parts of Europe.
