Feeding question..

How much are you all feeding your LO.  The last few days DS has been extra hungry and we have increased his formula to 3-4 oz. every 3 hours, sometimes he only takes 2 oz. though.  I feel like this might be a lot with him just now coming up on his 3 week mark but our pedi. doesn't seem to have a problem with it.  Just wondering what everyone's LOs are eating right now.

My LO is eating 2.5oz of breastmilk from a bottle every 3 hours.  Sometimes though he surprises me and eats within an hour or hour and a half of his last feeding.  He'll take another oz or 2 then...and still eat again within the next 3 hours.  Really throws off my "schedule".

I don't have my LO outside yet but from lurking on both the 0-3 board and the breastfeeding I understand that LO's go through a 3 week and 6 week growth spurt.  I think its normal and when it is over they should go back to eating less.

He's been eating 4 oz every 3-4 hours since 3 weeks. We're about to up it to 5 oz because he's not getting full.

She's eating 5oz every 4-5 hours

Aaron is eating 2 oz. every 2-3 hours, but he's a lot younger than your LO.

DS has 4.5 ounces every 3 hours... we will up it to 5 ounces soon because making it to 3 hours isn't always happening.

I'm breastfeeding so I usually nurse 15-20 mins from each side every 2 1/2-3 hours, but when DH is helping me and giving Caleb breastmilk I pumped from a bottle, he usually takes 3.5 oz.

Ours eats exactly like yours except it's mostly pumped breast milk. Our pedi completely supports feeding baby on demand and letting her lead the way.

Dayne is eating about 3 oz every 3-4 hours - sometimes he wants 4 oz - we've really been letting him dictate how much and when.  Hopefully a pattern will emerge soon.
