Stuck on Boy Names - initial poll.

We are having trouble coming up with boy names. My husband wants to use a family name, Zane, as a middle name. I'm not terribly concerned with how well it goes with the first since it won't be used often. (Actually don't like it with one of the first name choices but it's one of my DH's favorite on the list.)

I tend not to LOVE any name but want a name he could grow up with. I'm also open to suggestions.

Our DD is named Claire and our last name is a fairly common Spanish last name that begins with "Es".

I voted for Liam because I think it sounds the best with Claire.

I voted Carson even though it`s not really my style. The rest are too popular for my taste and I really don`t like Myles with a ``y.`` Miles with an ``i`` is a million times better.

Miles with an "i" is a million times better as I'm not a fan of y's in names when there is another option.  It's DH's contribution to the list so I'm using the spelling he suggested.  If it came down to our son being named Miles, I would win the spelling war.

I voted for Liam but I prefer Miles Zane, spelled like that.

I didn't vote, but I would've voted for Miles Zane if it was spelled like that.

I voted for Liam. It's my DS's name so I obviously love it. I also love Miles, but only spelled like this. I strongly dislike the name when spelled with a y.

I love Grant, but don't love the flow of Grant Zane.

I think Liam sounds best with Claire, Zane, and your last name info. I kind of like Carson but Liam comes in first for me. Miles is nice too, but spelled that way.

I voted for Grant although if Miles had been spelt this way I would have changed my vote.

Confession...

Although Grant Zane doesn't flow, I hate Miles Zane Es... since it all seems to blend together.

And I want some choice in the name so perhaps I was trying to sway the vote by sticking my husband's y in the name and thus tanking his choice.

My son's name is Liam, but I didn't vote for it.  It's getting really popular.  Went with Grant, it's a dashing name.

I voted for Grant. It doesn't flow as nicely as the others, but I love the name Grant.

I voted for Liam. It's one of my favourite names, but is too popular now. I love the name Miles, but it doesn't go with Zane, since the end/beginning sounds are too similar. I don't like the other two together or separately.

Carson, Grant, and Liam are all on my list and I love them all.  I think Carson and Liam go better with Zane, though, than Grant.
