Ok so this is a new thing to me. With my first two I didn't even think to record the us. Now, I would like to have some video since it's my last and we'll be finding out. At the nt scan I saw this posted and wondered why? And I did look into a seperate u/s place nut it is $175 for one and I think that is ridiculous! Anyone know the reasoning behind this policy.
Re: No recording devices in U/S?
It is a privacy thing. They do not want to risk that you accidentally videotape other proprietary information that might be in the room.
My MFMs office had signs clearly posted about no video or audio recording.
I had my elective ultrasound done for way less than $175, I would shop around.
My OB let us record the 1st time we heard the baby's heartbeat, but only after she a. found it, and b. made sure it was nice and strong.
I called my u/s office and they too told us no recording. I was bummed but I understand
I think it's so that if any thing (god forbid) is wrong, you won't have it look back on. At least that's just what my 1st thought was after seeing what my OB did.
