On Tuesday we are getting 2 baby Cayuga ducks! These are pictures of what they will look like little & big. Help me & my son name them? We need 2 names!
When I saw the big one I totally thought about the "emerald city" ... I would find a cool name that has something to do with the emerald city or wizard of oz haha

We had a pair of Rouen ducks we named Ronald and Nancy. I don't know if you've had ducks before, but I'd highly recommend not getting a drake (unless you want to breed them). Ronald was nasty mean and we ended up eating him. Just my two cents. Hope you have fun! They're beautiful birds.

Lol. This is why we don't keep ducks, I would eat them. If god wanted ducks to live long and happy lives, he shouldn`t have made them so bloody delicious.
ETA; I keep backyard chickens and we're getting two more female chicks next month. Are you in the city or do you farm?
We aren't sure if they are males or females yet. Baby chicks are fun too! We hatch them year round! We live in a small town & have 5 acres. We keep horses, chickens, cows, & soon ducks. It's mostly just for fun & so we can self sustain (with eggs, chicken, & beef). It's a fun way of life! We live 25 minutes from Boise, Id so it's the best of both worlds. We are getting Cayuga's which we have hatched before & make such sweet "pets" so to say.

I love big and/or puns names on little animals, we had fish named Apollo and Athena, chickens named Rosie, Clementine, Babs and Ginger, cats named Duke and Duchess and a great dane named Hamlet.
For a boy/girl combo I love Bonnie and Clyde, Donnie and Marie, Donald and Daisy, Sonny and Cher, Adam and Eve etc
For a boy/boy combo I think Donald and Daffy, Batman and Robin, Lewis and Clark, Ant and Dec etc.
For a girl/girl combo I like big names like Mary and Elizabeth, Aurelia and Cordelia (I might use these for my chicks since we didn't get to use them for our baby or I may save them for dogs which will likely last longer ), or lol, Heaven and Neveah.
Unisex; Peanut butter and Jelly, Saturday and Sunday, Goldfish and Quakers, Salt and Pepper.

I can't remember the title, but there is a cute kids book about little ducklings in Boston...all their names rhyme with 'quack'
So with that book as the inspiration, I would name them Mack and Jack.
