K sleeps in the swing for naps...and then at night he sleeps on his stomach laying on my chest most nights. He sleeps better that way. But if I need a break from him sleeping on me ..I put him in his RNP on his side.

SS; We put Alasdair on his back but he rolls to the right and usually ends up sleeping on his side because I don't have the heart to push him back onto his back after he worked so hard to get comfy. We'll see how he does when he is no longe able to roll (the ability to roll usually goes away by 6 weeks before it comes back again around 3 mths).
SS Here. Sullivan sleeps on his back during naps in the daytime. At night, we bedshare for the second half so he sleeps on his side in the crook of my arm so he can side-lying nurse while we sleep.
SS: I've never put DD down on anything but her back for a nap (unless she was on my chest) until today - she would NOT let me put her down on her back. I tried her tummy and it worked like a charm. Since I'm awake and watching her, I'm allowing it.
For bed, she is always on her back.
