1 week after having DD I suffered a stroke( I am only 27) and was in 3 different hospitals over 31 days. Since my stroke I have had around 15 seizures. I have been to so many Dr.'s to try and get them under control, no one can seem to figure it out. I would hate to have a seizure when i'm pregnant. I get used to the fact thad DD will be an only child : (
Re: might be 1 and done : (
I am so sorry. That had to be very scary for you. I hope that you are able to get your seizures under control soon. If you can't have more children please allow yourself to recognize it as a loss that you will need to work through.
A friend of mine may have to be one and done since a breast cancer diagnosis and they way she framed it which mads sense is that her lo would know what it was like to not have a mom but not know what it was like to have a sibling. (she wasn't sure if she would be able to have more kids if she chose the most aggressive chemo, which is what she did)
Good Luck to you!

My cousin had a stroke at 26, and has had 2 children since. She did have a high risk pregnancy, frequent doctors appts, and had to give an injection in her stomach/side 2 times a day.
Hopefully they can find a solution for you. Either way, you have a beautiful child! GL!
So sorry to hear this!
You should page kancell on the Parenting board. She also suffered a stroke (at I believe the same age) and for sure knows what you're going through. It might be nice to have someone to talk to going through the same thing.

Everyone's situation is very different, but I just wanted to say that I have epilepsy and I had 3 seizures while PG with DD. I felt so scared after them, but she's healthy and wonderful.
I hope your doctors are able to get them under control. Obviously they will know more about if you should or shouldn't have another LO, but don't give up hope yet!

Olivia Kate is almost 4!
Diagnosed with autism this year and doing great!
So sorry to hear of your trials
The good news is though that they haven't said NO at this point. It sucks not having the answers now, but hold out hope. And just because you aren't guaranteed to be able to carry your own child again in pregnancy (none of us are really guaranteed that!!), keep in mind there are other options to expand your family.
Good luck and keep your chin up.
I'm so sorry. =(
You're daughter is absolutely beautiful. ((hugs))
