So one of my cousins is getting close to her due date, her and her husband are expecting a baby boy, and she's torn about what name to go with. Her husband really wants to name their boy Jayden because this was his best friends name who recently passed away. My cousin doesn't hat the name but she does dislike it's popularity. Other than that she doesn't mind the name but she's leaning towards using it because it holds a lot of meaning. For middle names, if they do use this name, they are thinking about: Jayden James, Jayden Carter, or Jayden Lorenzo. What do you think she should do? I was thinking if she went with the spelling Jaden, it would be much better. But then it maybe mispronounced a lot...i don't know, opinions please?
Re: What should my cousin do? Warning: -ayden name

Agreed!
I am wondering the same thing?
This.
Definitely use it as a mn. Especially since it is a friend (whom I guessing was younger) who passed away, it's a great way to honor someone without making people think of a lost loved one every time they say the child's name. Plus, it avoids the whole -ayden popularity craze. Pick a name you love for the fn.
Jayden James is too much "Jay"....
Jayden Lorenzo has the best flow but I def prefer the Jaden spelling.
