how fast can i wean?

so the super-sad thing about TTC this summer is that i'll have to wean my LO sooner than i would like. =( so i'm wondering--how fast can weaning go? can i do it in a month? (he'll be about 8 months old, and will have been on just breastmilk and solids.)

My LC suggests you drop a feed a week but you can drop them faster than that. She recominds you don't drop them more often than every 4 days and that if after four days you are still feeling "full" before you get to the next feed then you wait a few more days. I would give yourself 2 months because I am prone to clogged ducts but if your supply is low then you could do it in a month.

With my DS, my supply had pretty much tanked and I was able to fully wean him over 2 weeks when he was 6 months old. With DD, we went slower and we fully weaned in a month (we finished just after she turned 7 months old).
