Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

shoe sizing question

The shoes DS is currently in are sized "18 months" and I'm in the market for new shoes for DS but the ones I'm looking at are in regular toddler sizing.  What size would he probably be if he's outgrowing the "18 month" size?  My guess is 6.  Please correct this if I'm off-base.

(We don't have a good toddler shoe store around here to go get him sized, unfortunately.)

Re: shoe sizing question

  • I bet you could google a shoe size chart template to measure him yourself.  My DS wears a 6 at 21 months but I have no idea how that would compare to a shoe marked "18mos"

  • Your best bet would be to get LO's foot measured at any shoe store. I would bet department stores that sell kids shoes and adult shoes could measure. Or try some 5's and 6's on at target and see how they seem? DD is just now, probably, getting into size 6 and will be 2 in a month.
  • Any shoe store can give you a size.  I've had DD sized at Payless and the shoes fit fine.  We don't have a good toddler shoe store around here either.
