Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

Is it even possible? Feeling crazy.

I feel pregnant.

The last few days when I lay on my sides, I swear I feel fetal movement.

I'm on the mini-pill and breastfeeding (EPing for 14 months).

It took me three years to get pregnant for #1 because I don't ovulate (PCOS).

What else causes movement?  Fibroids?

My husband thinks it's all in my head.

  • Have you POAS?  I'd make an appt. with your gyno ASAP.  I have PCOS too so I can imagine what you went through TTC.  You're not crazy. :o)

  • Fetal movement is not likely unless you're really far along.  I know I was on the minipill and EBF 8-10 times a day when I got pregnant, so it's totally possible, though.  And I have several friends who had difficulties first time around and got pregnant unexpectedly soon after.   Sometimes there are phantom fetal kicks.  I do not think you're crazy.  While I am shamefully unaware of how that plumbing system works, I do believe that sometimes mommy intuition knows well before technology does.  Good luck

  • Is there a possibility you could be 3 months pregnant and not know it?

I would suggest you POAS and if you're still concerned make an appt. with your GYN, to rule out pregnancy or anything else.

  • My SIL got pregnant while on the minipill and BFing. There is a reason they say the pill is not 100%. However it could also be totally nothing. Can't hurt to POAS and/or give your OB a call on Monday.
  • Before I got pregnant with my second LO I used to think I felt fetal movement as well.  I think it is actually pretty common.  I have heard the term "phantom kicks" on TB before too.  But you could be pregnant.  The only way to find out is to POAS.  GL!

  • Before getting pregnant with this LO, I felt "phantom kicks" pretty often. It was just gas and muscle spasms, and now the muscle spasms make me crazy because I'm waiting to feel this baby, LOL. I would POAS just to check if I were you, but unless you think you could be past your first tri, it's probably those phantom kicks.

  • Anything is possible! I agree with PPs to just POAS or call your OBGYN.

I have the phantom kicks at least a couple times a week, but I'm on BCP and have a normal period. I've also POAS just to be sure lol. It's hard to believe that 18 months PP you can still feel them, but you can!

  • It took me 2yrs to conceive LO and it was through IUI because i have PCOS also and never ovulated BUT we just got a surprise BFP 2wks ago! I would POAS just to be sure and if it's negative and you still feel weird i would make an appt with your PCP or OB.
