So I called and the OB on call said that she doesn't know why I bled but it could be bc of the placenta lying low, considering that I have not had sex for over a week. But I remember the nurse showing us on my last u/s where the placenta was and she didn't say anything about it lying low or anything. I asked the OB on call if I should go for an u/s and she said to call on Monday so the office can schedule me in. She said that unless I got thru a pad an hour then I'm supposed to go to the ER. Ugh...so frustrating! I'd love to know if the baby is doing just fine today so I can relax easier the rest of the weekend.
But on a good note, I have not bled any more since seeing it on the tissue. Also nothing on the pad either, and I have gone pee 4 times since then. So apparently the only thing I can do is put my feet up for the rest of the weekend and try not to worry (easier said than done, I know).
Re: *update* on bleeding
Actually since my last post I have peed 2 more times and the last time there was blood on the tissue again, but not as much. Again there were no clots and the blood was only on the tissue, not on the pad or in the water. I still have no idea what to think is going on but I am going to continue my bedrest and call first thing in the morning on Monday.
Also, my family planned what sounds like to be a nice brunch at the local casino (about an hr away) but I am hesitant on going to that since I'm not sure how long we will be gone for. I'd love to go since I was never there before but I'm not going to go if my baby's if is at risk. What do you think??
Is the blood browish or more red? I've had brownish blood on and off for the last couple weeks, mostly like you just on the toilet paper when I wipe. My doctor told me not to worry about it unless it became heavy, with cramps and bright red. I did go in for my normal appointment and the dr. found the heartbeat right away and reassured me again not to worry. He said most likely my body is trying to rid of old blood to make room for the new blood.
I know it's hard but just try and relax
