I need clothes washing help

DD's T-ball shirt is a 2-4T she wears a 5-6 so it barely fits (it is not the size I ordered either) how can i wash it that I guarantee it will not shrink? I will line dry it but what about washing? Sorry if this is a dumb  question, I have no room to mess this up.

I'd just make sure to wash it in cold.  I wash all the kids clothes in cold and line dry (for the most part) and nothing shrinks.

Also ... You can stretch it when wet if it's cotton.
