bleeding?!!

I just went pee a few mins ago and when I wiped there was blood on the tissue! There werent any clots or anything, just pink blood. I have lost 2 pregnancies before (in June and Dec 2009) at 4w3d each time. This pregnancy has been totally normal with no bleeding at all! My last appt was on 3/16 and my OB wanted to see me again in 3 weeks, which put me at 4/6. I also just got back good results from my 1st tri genetic screening. Tho, I did have a very heated fight with my sister yesterday but I managed to calm myself down and stayed calm and didn't do much the rest of the night, except go to the grocery store. I didn't carry anything that was too heavy, either.

Should I call my OB now or wait awhile?

    Did you have sex recently? Irritation of the cervix can cause bleeding. Of course, I would call my OB/Midwife if I were you if you haven't had sex in the last 24 hours.

    I'd call to be on the safe side since you've lost two pregnancies in the past and you're clearly freaked out/upset.  Go the safe route, call the doctor for peace of mind.

    No we haven't had sex, let alone see much of each other. I honestly cannot remember how long ago we had sex but I know that it was more than a week ago. And afterwards, I didn't bleed. My heart is poundng out of my chest but I'm trying to stay calm but it's so nerve wracking on why this is happening all of a sudden!

    You should notitify ur obgyn, just in chance; but I have had the same bleeding and even bright red. It started at about 16 weeks and after 3 scary visits to the ER...I was told is was due to old blood in my cervix and a cervical polyp. Everything is great with the baby though, but I was put on bed rest. Can't walk long distances or b standing for too long. It could also be that ur placenta is low and near the cervix. Just in case call it in. Good Luck! Smile

    I had that about 14 weeks too in both my pregnancies.

    The first time I went in and the dr. said there was a small tear in my placenta that had healed and it was leftover blood from that.

    The second time, the dr. found a polyp on my cervix at the first u/s and warned me it'd be bleed out eventually. It did.

    It was no big deal either time.

    I'd go get checked out for peace of mind though.

    I would call your doctor just in case, considering your history of miscarriage. Good luck and I hope everything turns out ok!
