How long after stomach flu is it safe for FI to come home?

We all had a terrible stomach flu (each of us had different severities when it came to symptoms) starting Wednesday. The baby had it Tuesday. My FI started feeling sick at work on Wednesday so we agreed for him to stay at his Mom's because we're cooped up in a tiny 1 bedroom 1 bathroom apartment and to lessen germ spreading around the baby.

Well all hes had is a sore throat and fever, the thing is, his fevers last foreverrrrrrrrrr. I want him to come home today but hes scared that he'll get me and the baby re-sick. Anyone know when its safe for him to come back? I disinfected everything with bleach. I just want him home.

    I believe its when the fever has been gone 24 hours.

     This!  Even if it is a small house/apartment its CRAZY that he is staying somewhere else.

    Yep. This is going to happen so many times over the years that there's no point living apart over it.

    This.  It becomes a part of life...when one gets sick, everyone gets sick.  You and LO may get lucky and not get anything.  You are going to become infected a day or so before the other person actually start to show symptoms, so you may have already been infected if you were around him.

    If he had diarrhea, when he no longer had diarrhea he is no longer contagious. DH has the stomach flu a couple weeks ago and we just cleaned everything like crazy and DS and I never got it.
