Ours was kind of planned. My husband and I have been together for 10 years and we (finally) got married March 2010 and my husband wanted me to go off birth control and get pregnant right away. I told him "give me till the end of the year to get used to being married, jeez!" But, I kind of caved and went off of BC in June and started taking all the vitamins. We weren't trying but we weren't preventing... cut to December.. I know my body pretty well and hadn't missed my period yet, but I just "knew", so I took the test and boom- positive! We are super excited and so far this baby has been pretty punctual. I mean, I wanted to wait till the end of the year and the little one said, "okay mom, you said end of the year so I'm coming." Can't wait to meet the peanut and hopefully he/she is this punctual for the rest of their life.
With all the differnt birth control options these days I dont understand how people have them not planned. I understand it is not 100 % effective but most BC when used correctly are 99 % effective. That said.... Yes...Mine was planned.

There is so much wrong with this, I don't even know where to begin. But coming from you, I guess I shouldn't have expected anything else.

Please DO tell ...what is sooo much wrong with this post?? Enlighten me??
What you don't know how to prevent a pregnancy this day in age??
And what is this "coming from you business" I don't know you from Adam?
We've been together for 7 years now - officialy married for one. I stopped taking birth control about five months before getting pregnant. Funny thing is, once the second month of no contraception went by and my period came, I assumed it would take us a long time. Plus, I was having a really stressful time at work (the worst, really), and I thought no one could ever get pregnant with that much cortisol in their system, so I kind of just forgot about it.
Good thing I got tested one day before our anniversary trip to Europe (Dublin/London/Alton Towers Amusement Park/Amsterdam) - I was planning to bake my brains in pot smoke so I thought I'd better make damn sure I wouldn't be baking anything other than my brains... and then I found out I had a tiny four (two)week old project of a baby in my gut!!!
I know it shouldn't come as such a surprise, but for some reason I was so sure it would take so much longer... lol
Anyway, DH and I were - and still are - delighted. I still got to ride all thrill rides in Alton Towers (OB said it was perfectly ok) and Amsterdam was still mindblowing - even without any pot (boy, was I glad I got tested before going!).
All the best!
Oh, and I was just forgetting - as soon as I got back, I quit my job (and told them they could shove it too...).
Re: was your pregnany planned or not?
I love all these stories!
