I honestly can't remember if DD responded to her name by 12 months but I just wanted to reassure you that if this is the only "red flag" issue you're seeing, it most likely isn't anything to be concerned about at all. Do you use your LOs name? We were watching home videos and realized that we never really called DD by her actual name when she was an infant. We used a lot of nicknames.

Yes! We did this too. We either called him a nickname or never actually referred to him by name.
I remember freaking out about this as well for a couple of weeks. We use a nickname a lot so we just stopped and made sure he saw us when we talked to him and spoke his name. I think it is a phase they go through as well. I would not worry. We are at 14 months and honestly I cannot even remmeber this little phase:)
