Follie Check Update

I have two follies this month. One on the R ovary measuring only 14 so the RE doesn't think much will happen with that but the one on my left is 26.5.  I'm CD11. At CD13 last month my one follie was 25. Lining was a 10.  So good news! =)

I brought up the CD3 and 7DPO testing to the doctor again (since i've never had it done) and she gave me the same song and dance that all the other doctors and nurses have. That because I have a normal cycle, that my chart shows a clear O pattern and my basic blood draw shows nothing out of the ordinary then there is no reason to have the other blood work done. ::head desk::  Gotta love Army doctors!

I also discussed options for the future cycles if I don't get pregnant this month. She said that they normally do 3 cycles of clomid before suggesting to move on to IUI + Clomid + trigger. We'll probably move on to that in June since we are going on vacation in May.

I gave you life, then you gave me mine.

Re: Follie Check Update

  • I can't believe they aren't doing CD3 or 7dpo b/w!  Follie check results sounds great though!  Hopefully you get a bfp this cycle and don't have to worry about moving onto anything else.  Good luck sweetie!

  • I am more surprised they aren't suggesting IUI immediately, especially considering you have been trying since 2008!

But good luck and I hope this is your cycle!

  • I agree with PPs and would continue to push back to see how much flexibility there is on what they "usually do."  It does seem like more testing before sinking the time and energy into an IUI would at least make you feel a lot better about the process.  Hopefully, though, this cycle will do the trick!
