Here's my FFFC, if you'd like to add your FFFC to this post, please feel free.
Here it goes:
I have a good friend who has been handing down a lot of her daughter's clothes, as she's outgrown them. Her daughter is roughly 9 months older than mine and up until now, I've been really happy to have these hand me downs, they've been cute and they have all been in really good condition. Well, this time around, there are several really cute items, but there's also a lot of items that are pretty worn and just not as cute, in my opinion. There's a ton of them and so, DD really doesn't need anymore clothes, but I keep looking at all of the cute summer stuff and wanting to buy her a few more items for this summer... I just got a text from a friend, she wants to meet to go shopping at Carters... I think I'll end up spending some money this evening...
Re: FFFC
So what's the FFFC part? Not wanting your baby to wear all used clothes? I don't see anything wrong with that! If I have another girl someday I'll still buy her some of her own cute clothes.
My FFFC is that I'm actually considering not getting pg again anytime soon because if I have to shell out another $820/month in daycare I'm not going to be able to afford to buy Allie designer shoes anymore. The plan was to start TTC in June, but I keep thinking of all the cute shoes I'll be giving up...I'm pretty sure DH is not going to understand why I want to change the plan.
Thank you for saying this! My husband just doesn't understand, lol! I LOVE the hand me downs and, like I said, there are some really cute items, but I get sad when I can't buy her anything that I like...
I understand the shoe issue. My husband feels like one is enough for us and I'd really like DD to have a brother/sister, but it'll be pretty tough on us financially. I'll admit that I like the idea of always being able to spend money on just one child, whereas I'd have to start making sacrifices for two...
Already done, lol! I printed a 25% off of $50 for Osh Kosh and a 20% off of $40 for Carters, they are right next to each other at the local outlet mall where we are going. The only problem... it means that I'll feel obligated to spend at least $40... lol!
Oh yeah, and I printed an extra for my friend, just in case she didn't have one.
JEALOUS! I can't shop for a while...been on too big of a spree lately!! Have fun!
Not being able to spend as much money on my DD is weighing on my mind also when trying to decided on TTC #2
I totally laughed at this..I just couldn't help myself!!!
Just typing this out made me feel guilty enough to go clean the bathrooms and sign off on 46 charts. Now, I feel like I earned those M&Ms.
I totally agree with you- along with the added daycare expense and the fact that DH nor I is willing to give up going out to dinner all the time, buying pretty much whatever we want when we want it, and taking 2-3 big family vacations a year we are thinking DD will be an only child. We just got back from Cabo last weekend and the entire time I was thinking- what if we had to pay for another person to be here- OMG that would never work! We just would not be able to do as much if we had another child and we not willing to give things up in order to have another child.
I spent waaaay too much on DD's birthday party and I don't have enough to start buying things for DS that will be here in the next 2 months. OOPS, but she did have a great time at her party if that helps at all.
My FFFC- I am so ready to start TTC #2 this summer, like it's all I can think about, but DH is only about 50% of the way there. However, I don't care. He is not that hard to sway, so I have already told close family that we will TTC this summer. I know I should wait to say anything, but I am a teacher. So if we don't TTC this summer we will have to wait another year which I just can't handle the thought of.
I just keep reminding DH of the awesome TTC sex, so I don't think it will be long before he agrees
Loving this mommy thing!
