Diapers for night time

I need some suggestions for night time. Jake currently sleeps 8-4:30ish, eats, then goes back to bed. He's currently wearing Huggies Overnights in size 3 (he wears size 2 Little Snugglers but they don't make Overnights any smaller). Our problem is that he pees through his diapers pretty much every night. We make them really tight but he just pees so much it can't hold it all.

So does anyone have any suggestions for diapers taht work well at night time? Especially for a boy that pees A LOT and has started rolling over and sleeping on his stomach.

My sister used to take an overnight MaxiPad, the HUGE ones. Cut a slit down the middle, and use the sticky side to attach it to the diaper. Worked like a charm. MaxiPad would Fill up, but the slit allowed extra to go to the diaper.

We were using Costco brand diapers forever until I discovered Amazon Subscribe and Save and started ordering Pampers Baby Dry - BIG MISTAKE. Jackson was leaking out EVERY.SINGLE. NIGHT. Not worth the extra 2 cents per diaper savings.

I finally had it on Monday and went back to Costco - not a leak since.

My choice - Costco Diapers!

Would you consider doing cloth for overnight?  C pees like it's going out of style and we do not have leaks, ever.  I use a very absorbent fitted diaper (BubeBebe) and a PUL cover and it goes 12 hours easy.  If you're willing to do a small extra load of wash every 3 days you could have a nighttime solution for under $50 that would almost certainly last til potty learning.  I promise, it would not be hard at all (we CD full time and even that's not hard.)

We use Pampers Overnight Extra Protection, no leaks at all and my little guy pees a lot.  I used to have to move up a size in diapers for nighttime, but not with these diapers they really hold well.  I get them from Amazon subscribe and save and they are not a bad deal.

We put E in a pocket diaper with a normal insert and a hemp doubler.  We've never had a leak, and the mr. has no problem putting them on.  If you buy ones with velcro/aplix, they go on exactly like a disposable.

This might work too.  I think it really depends on how much he pees.  A pocket stuffed like this would definitely not work more than about 6-7 hours for us.  But it's all variable based on baby.  You could certainly try some different things and see what works.  I need fitteds because the whole diaper absorbs, and in the morning it is *soaked* but her skin is dry (no pee beads on her or the cover.)   Are you familiar with Spot's Corner on HyenaCart?  It's a great place to find either new diapers for resale (generally a few dollars cheaper than new from the retailer) or used ones if you are comfortable with that (we are as long as they are gently used and well cared for.)  Might be a good place to look for something inexpensive to try out and see what you think.

Bren sleeps on his tummy as well.  We've tried both the Pampers and Huggies overnight diapers and Pampers work better for us.  Now that he is STTN more consistently and not getting up for a feeding, he pees a lot less so I think that is also a part of the solution.

Interesting.  The only diapers we EVER use for overnight are the Pampers Baby Dry.  We use Target brand during the day, but those definitely do not work for overnight, so we started with the Pampers.  I guess we've had leaks a couple nights here and there, but I just assume that we'd periodically get leaks with any diaper.  Huh.
