Middle name for Cora?

So far the name Cora is our frontrunner for our third girl. Sibs are Julia and Emma. We cannot come up with a middle name that flows well. Any ideas? I think a 1 or 3 syllable mn would sound best as our last name in 2 syllables we as well as Cora. Getting frustrated! Thanks!

  • That's funny that the others said Jane, because I was going to suggest it as well. Or what about June, or Mae (or May). Claire? That might be too many Cs. I also like Rose for a middle name, but think it's used quite a bit. The 3 syllable name that popped into my name was Evelyn. Have you searched your family tree? Hope these help!

  • What are Julia and Emma's middle names?

I prefer family names for middles...any of those you could use?

  • We thought of using Cora Rae.

    Other ideas:
    Leigh, Ann, Paige, Jane, Marie

  • I have researched our family names, nothing really jumps out at me. Some of them are:

Laila, Helena, Aliina, Rachel, Virginia, Nancy, Betty.  I do like Elena a lot (to honor Helena, my fave great aunt) but I wonder if it's too many vowels. Cora Elena (oh yea and my last name rhymes with Eller, so lots of L's).

And it's Julia Rae (after my sis) and Emma Grace (honoring previous loss, I found out it was a girl and thought there was my Gracie).

Thanks! I'm ready to throw in the towel and start over. Problem is there isn't any other name I like right now:(

  • Cora Elise is at the top of the list actually... does it flow ok? Cora Elise Eller...? Can I say that really fast when she's being naughty?!

  • Seems like you like one syllable names that are traditionally used as middle names, so I would second Jane and Mae and add Ann (this is my Eleanor's middle name...it's a family name for us), Leigh,

  • I like Mae or May with it!

I really like Cora Elise, but honestly, I think it is a bit too much with your last name :(

I also like Cora Rachel (you mentioned that as a family name....).

Cora Emily is nice too (someone else said that)

    Other suggestions:

    Cora Brooke

    Cora Reese

  • Crazy that several others said Jane because that was the first one I thought of, too.

Marie is one of those names that makes a great middle name with almost any first name.
