If you sign w/your multiples....

Did you make up your own sign for diaper change/poopy diaper?

I'm not having luck with this sign... they have caught on to eat, more, etc.  but would love any advice.  Thank you!

    We didn't sign, I just wanted to say that they might not be picking up on it yet because they're not really old enough to realize when they have a dirty diaper or need a change.  Keep trying, but don't worry about it if it's a while before they pick up any signs like that.

    Very true.  They are young...and sometimes just "sit" in it...  until I smell it.  Indifferent No fussing, or crying.

    Haha, yeah they're not ready to let you know then.  Just keep doing the sign during the actual diaper change and eventually they'll get it, but they have to actually care about sitting in a dirty diaper first.  I think my kids were around 16-18 months old before they started to really care that their diapers needed to be changed.

    my sis-in-law used the Baby Einstein's baby sign video/information and she said all the signs were really helpful and her son picked them all up sooner or later.

    Mine have yet to alert me to a dirty diaper.  If I don't see the grunting I just catch a whiff in the air and I have to go around smelling butts to figure out who it is.

    They know the sign for "diaper" but I haven't yet taught them to sign for it when they need a diaper change.  I am thinking they'll get there in time, though.

    After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!

    I just LOVE this 1 yr pic of the girls.  It's soooooo cute.  I hope you have a huge print of that.  The balloons make it so fun. 

    I'm glad you mentioned they do know what the sign is.... so maybe my girls will catch on in time.  On a video I have, they just show the sign for "change"... or "dirty"....  I need to google and find the real sign to use for diaper.
