40 week 2 day update

I had my 40 wk appt. yesterday.  I was hoping to find out that something was brewing, but the appt. was rather boring.  They ended up hooking me up on the monitor for an NST.  Said the baby's heartrate looks beautiful.  I'm having lots of Braxton Hicks contractions, but nothing real yet.  I'm still barely dialated - "a tight 2cm" after being 1cm last week.

My DD was 8 days late so I wasn't expecting to go early, but I was really hoping that by this weekend I'd be in labor.  I guess a boring appt. is better than finding out there was a reason to rush me to the hospital.

My next appt. is scheduled for Tuesday and they'll do another NST and an u/s to check fluid levels.  I imagine we'll talk about scheduling an induction at that point.  I'm really hoping that LO is here before Tuesday!

It could happen!  When I had my 39 week appointment with Margaux, I was not effaced or dilated or anything.  The next afternoon my water broke and 2.5 hours later, with no interventions, Margaux popped on out.  I hope you get your baby before Tuesday!

Heh, I'll trade my irritable ute for your Braxton Hicks... I wish my contractions were nothing real... but I digress.

I hope your little one gets a move on soon!!!  Do you need us to send an eviction notice?  Take away the permits for the loft your babe is building?

Sending major labor vibes your way... and keeping my fingers crossed that by Tuesday you'll have an outside baby!!!
