So Connor's hair is a dirty blonde/light brown and he has recently developed a mild case of cradle cap which has manifested itself as orangey scales on the top of his head... now all of a sudden I'm getting these "he's got red hair" comments! haha
As a redhead myself, it would always bother me when people would say that an obvious brunette or blonde had "some red in their hair". Yea the undertones might not be ashy, maybe they're warmer... but give me a break. When you're a redhead, there's NO doubt about the colour of your hair when you're born. My hair was bright orange.
Just had to vent!
Re: "My son is not a redhead -- it's just cradle cap."
Yea I know it's weird that it bugs me so much!
I'll love you forever,
I'll like you for always,
As long as I'm living my baby you'll be.

I deal with the same thing, its annoying. Basically everyone in my family has red hair. So I keep having everyone tell me he looks like he is going to be a red head too. And he also has a little orange cradle cap, so that doesn't help. But if you are going to have red hair it is BRIGHT red when you are born.
This! DH has red hair, and I'd really hoped that DD would, too.
DH was born with black hair, by one year it was bright orangey red and stayed that way until about 10 or 11. Now it is brown. Redheads aren't always born redheads.
