I may be a tad over zealous here, but after watching a YouTube video, I think I can do it. If you have, how many attempts did it take to perfect it? and have you tried sewing covers? I wonder how many I can make before I give birth...any words of wisdom?
Re: Who has attempted to sew CDs?
I've sewn one or two diapers. My first ones were admittedly ugly, but I now hate the pattern I was using at the time. IMO, it is WELL worth the $5 to buy the KCK One pattern (or the KCK Sized pattern, if you would like sized diapers). The patterns include wonderful instructions and membership in the KCK diaper-sewing forum.
Fabrics and notions can be found, in addition to the patterns, at www.kaylasclothkits.com
Pretty please, if you are going to sew diapers, do so with the appropriate materials and notions. You will NOT be happy if you try to use Velcro that is available in retail settings. Aplix, Lastin, etc, really aren't that expensive...but are SO much nicer to work with.
You have enough time to make gazillions of diapers between now and your DC's birthday. Have fun, but beware...it's addictive.
