Hi, ladies! Have we heard from wendylaine yet??
Question of the week: What's your #1 main motivation for VBAC?
(Future QOTW suggestions welcome via PM or by posting in the thread.)

If you want to be on the check-in, post your EDD, and any other dates (appointments, scans, etc.) you want to share and I'll make a list.
Graduates can post their birth story links, and anyone can share their older baby's stories or summaries as well.

Re: Weekly Check-In
I'll be having my 39 week check-up on 3/29 and hoping that everything's still going the way it needs to in order to have my VBAC.
Like PP, my main motivation for VBAC is a faster recovery that will allow me to take better care of my 3-year-old and baby. Another huge reason though is that I never even got a TOL with DD#1, and I really want to have that experience. And as a third reason, after having 2 miscarriages trying to have another child, I really want to be the first person to hold this baby.
Add me to the due date list, please
May 13th
My main motivation for a vbac is getting the experience I wanted with ds and didn't have a chance to experience. I place a fair amount of blame for us not breastfeeding and having a touch of PPD on both the c/s and not knowing enough to advocate for myself and for what would be best for us.
This time I just envision pushing my baby out without drugs or medications and immediately feeling like we've done something together. I think just the process of birth will help bond us and not feel as detached as the c/s, kwim? I also hope it will help us with nursing as I was devastated when I wasn't able to nurse ds and absolutely hated the 4 months I put into EPing. I don't want to do that again.
EDIT: I'm team pink.
You can add me to the list, please!
I'm BaumMom, my EDD is June 13th, team pink, and I have a sonogram coming up on April 7th because my fundal height is already measuring 3 weeks ahead and my OB wants to see if I have excess fluid or if she is just a big baby. Boo.
First c/s was unplanned after 21 hours of labor and 2 hours of pushing, I developed a fever (due to chorioamnionitis - infection of amniotic sac), baby's heart rate was "troubling" and he did not descend at all during pushing...so my doctor suspects CPD.
My main motivation for a VBAC is I just plain want to experience childbirth in the manner my body was designed to do. Part of that is also because I know that it is the healthiest way for me and my baby.
I'd like to be added! I'm team pink and due on July 16th.
My main motivation is that I suffered PTSD and PPD after a horribly complicated Emergency C/S at 35 weeks with Baby #2. I'd rather not go through that again.
This was after a textbook natural birth at a birth center with Baby #1.
Reminds me of a saying I heard that went something like this.
"A wise monkey said to his friend: 'I've been rich, and I've been poor....rich is better.'"
I've seen the other side and already know that I find it infinitely preferable.
