We have a CD player in his room that plays white noise all night on repeat. I think it helps and it also drowns out the noises of the household - DH and I talking, the cats fighting, etc.
The two men in my life. Oh, and I have a husband too...
Yes. We have an iHome in DS's room and I use the White Noise Lite app. Our monitor is voice activated, and I turn the white noise up as high as I can before the monitor picks it up and hisses at me all night long.
We use a projector mobile thingy that shines an image onto the ceiling and it also does rain & ocean sounds, the image part we turn off once shes asleep, but the sounds are so calming we leave it on all night. I actually cant sleep without it anymore.

We have the same one, but we set the timer for 15 min. He's able to sleep without it all night long. We have it set to the lullaby song not the white noise.
We have a sound machine that has a heartbeat sound and a couple of Disney lullaby CD's that we put on repeat. Both play all night long. My brother and sister-in-law still have their heartbeat sound machine going all night long for their 3 yr old.
Re: If LO uses a sound machine, do you leave it on all night?

We leave it on all night. Heck, we still leave Olivia's on all night. With two monitors and two different sounds, it's amazing we sleep.
LOL! When we moved D from our room to his, I found I missed the Sleep Sheep! I liked falling asleep to rain. I might steal it back from him...

This! Except ours is "car ride."
This. She tends to wake up and want to eat if we leave it off.
