FET after IVF

Hi girls, just want some advice. We had our egg retrieval last week wed but weren't able to do a fresh transfer b/c  my estrogen got too high and we triggered with Lupron to prevent OHSS (which it did). So we ended up freezing good embryos. i was told initially i would have to wait at least 30 days after i get my period following the ET, which i did today, to proceed with the FET, b/c more the doc wanted to give my body a chance to normalize. Now the nurse calls me today to say we can do it now.  I am just concerned my body has hadn't a chance to come down from the hormonal craze and should wait this month. What do you girls think??

Well, it sounds like you are concerned with how your body has calmed down.  I'd probably wait a month just so I knew that I had tried everything to up the odds.  If it didn't work, I wouldn't want to wonder if that had been a contributing factor.  So my advice is not scientific in any way, but more psychological.  Good luck!

I just had a failed IVF and I am waiting to start my period so I can start my FET. My RE said it was fine-all I have to take is estrogen and progesterone to build my lining.

I had a mild case of OHSS and I waited a cycle to start my FET.  I would recommend taking one off to anyone, I don't think I would've handled going right into another cycle very well.  Good luck!

My RE told me it was fine also...but you know your body and should do what you are comfortable with! This stuff is hard enough as it is without added stress!

We went straight from a fresh IVF cycle to a frozen FET (no wait required at my RE's office).  If this fails, I'm going to have a discussion with the doctor about waiting a month vs. another fresh IVF cycle.
