For the past few hours, one and off, I have been getting a shooting /pulsating pain in my uterus/vaginal area.. it lasts for a second and then stops then comes back a few minutes later.
Anyone familiar with this or know what it means? If it's serious?

Thanks for the info.
The pain is not terrible but it's definitely there.. since I have never been through this before, I don't know what's "normal" pain and what's not...
My doctor is moving offices as we speak and won't be open for business again until Monday.. just my luck.. I will monitor the pain for now and see if it escalates.. hopefully not.
Did they leave an emergency contact number? Does your hospital have urgent care?
I'm glad to hear the pain isn't terrible. I'm sure it's nothing. The above questions were "just in case" questions. Best of luck and congrats on your pregnancy.

The emergency number takes you to an operator who I assume would guide you to who to call/ where to go.. thankfully I haven't had to go there yet...
The hospital is about 5 minutes from my house if God forbid we need to go..
Thanks for the reassurance and kind words.
its actually in your vagina? or is it higher, in your abdomen?
i had an ectopic and it was no pain in my vagina at all... it was in my hip area and i also felt nauseous...
It's definitely down low in the vaginal /central area not near the hips and I am not experiencing any other symptoms.
How frequent were your pains and how long did the last. My pain has gone away now..
Also, sorry to hear that you prev. had an ectopic.. a couple of my friends had them too.. and both are doing great now, one with almost 1 yr old and the other 4 months along..
thats good news then... it was 2 different days with pretty horrible pain...
it was easy to overlook with the pain alone... except that i was spotting and my dr did a sono and betas and discovered the ectopic...
I found out last week I was pregnant and a few days later I had the same pain. It was a sharp pulsing pain that came and went and lasted only a few seconds. It lasted off and on for about two days, becoming more frequent at night, but then after the two days it went away. If you start spotting or if the pain becomes more severe I'd call the doctor other wise I wouldn't worry too much.
I had sharp pains in the abdomen too. I think we all experience different things. I had pains and cramping later, that was implantation cramping. I also had brown spotting... all seems to be okay now.
Good luck and I think you are gorgeous!!! That wedding picture is beautiful!?
Uterus/vaginal area -- I had that in the beginning. like twinges. Actually I still get them here and there.
If it's actually IN the vagina area -- and it feels like a shock... it's something ppl refer to as Lightning Crotch -- it's common in early pregnancy... and is a very STRANGE feeling.
