They were making fun of my kitten at work :(

I took off yesterday, bc yesterday morning our new little kitten Nala was having a seizure. I called into work bc I needed to take her to the vet to see what was going on, so I left a voicemail on my bosses phone.

 When I came back today, he said they were all laughing because "your cat was sick." Not only did it make me feel retarded, but made me want to cry, because even though we've only had her 2 weeks, shes the closest thing I have to a child right now, and she fills that empty space in my heart. Just had to vent...a little upset.

I would totally call out sick to take care of my dogs!!!  They're just heartless. Ignore them.  I've even left work one time b/c I was so upset over some news (incorrect news) about one of my dogs  health!  They're our babies, some people just don't get it.

Our little furry baby is sick too, she might have cancer, and my coworkers were giving me crap about taking off work and how they send their kids to school with fevers, so why do I need to take off for my dog? What terrible parents

I've called into work late before because Reese was beyond sick and needed imediate vet care.

I'm so sorry!! I missed a whole day of work a couple of months ago just because I was so upset about my cat's worsening kidney disease. people without pets just don't understand. from now on I say that you just tell them that you're sick or something.

and your kitten is so cute! I hope she's ok.

People suck! I'm so sorry to hear about your kitten. I completely understand how attached we can get to our pets since that's all we have. I also have a cat that feels that huge void. I hope your kitten is going to get better. ((HUGS))
