from 0-3: 6 week old feeding

How much does your 6 week old baby eat at each feeding and how often do they eat? My LO is almost 10 lbs....I am also wandering about gas drops. Do you use them in every bottle? I feel like my LO has terrible gas but I am fearful that it might make his tummy upset.  Last question (sorry)....when I am out and about I always bring baby bottles with water ready to go to just add the formula. Can you put the gas drops in the water before leaving the house? Thanks for the help :-)

Mj is 7wks but he eats about 5oz per feeding since 6wks. He does take Mylicon after most feedings if he's fussy but I do not put it in the bottle. It comes with a dropper so we just use that.  I keep a small bottle in the diaper bag.

DS is also 6 weeks and he eats 4-5 oz per feeding and eats about every 3 hours (except for one stretch at night where he goes 7 hours...which unfortunately usually is from 5 pm to midnight). I also pack the bottles filled w/water when we go out and what I do is make the bottle and then open it up after it is shaken and add the mylicon drops and swirl them in. It seems like the mylicon takes some of the air bubbles out of the bottle if you do this rather than adding the drops to the water. I also just keep an extra bottle in the diaper bag (and use the Target brand as they are much cheaper!).

Mine is 7wks today and she only takes a 3.5oz bottle. (Sometimes- it's more like 3oz but she is almost taking all 3.5oz.) And it's breast milk, not formula. She was 6lbs 10oz when she was born and was 13lbs yesterday when I weighed her.

Isaac is still taking 3oz. We tried to up it to 4 a few times but he doesn't always take it all plus I am a bit afraid to over feed him since he has such bad reflux issues. He weighed 8lbs 11oz a week ago.

We only give Isaac gas drops now when he seems fussy from gas. We did, before the Nutrtramigen, put them in every bottle though. As long as you do not give over 12 bottles then you fine (I think they say 12 doses/day is tops). No clue if you can put the gas drops in the water ahead of time but I can't logically think of any reason why not...try googling it.

My LO is 6 weeks and eats 4oz every 3 hours. He had a few days of bad gas. I put the drops in every bottle. It says on the box that it's fine to do that. I don't see why you can't put the drops right in the water.

Mine is 6 weeks and we just recently upped her bottles to 5 oz per feeding - about every 3 to 3 1/2 hours on average.  We only occasionally give her the gas drops when it seems like she's being a really loud grunter and it looks like it's bothering her.  I'm just one of those people that don't love giving medicine just for the sake of giving it, so I make sure that gas really is a problem before I just give it to her.
