Lyndon Thomas

It's a boys name, but MIL is called Lynn and I have a female acquaintance named Lindy, so it elicits some feminine associations in my mind.  It's one of the few names I've suggested that DH approves of.  Thoughts?  Opinions?

Lyndon B. Johnson. That's what comes to mind. Landon seems like a nice alternative if you want something more mainstream.

I actually really like the name Lyndon.  My dad's name is Lynn and I have considered this name as a possible way to honor my father.

I'm not averse to Lindon.  While I don't dislike Landon, I know too many of them to go that route.

The first thing that comes to mind is Landon too. Could be an alternative if you want to stay away from the "ly" or "li" sound.

Edit: I just saw your response about Landon. I don't dislike Lyndon. I like Lindon too.

Oh, definitely boy.  I was just wondering if I was the only one who thought it sounded semi-feminine, despite being a boys name.

Yep. I actually prefer Lyndon to Landon, but I think the presidential association keeps it firmly in masculine-territory.

Great name.  My uncle's name is Lyndon and he often goes by the nn Les (pronounced like "less").

This. And although a masculine name, the Lyn- doesn't do it for me. But if you're using it to honor someone then keep the spelling. I do like Landon.

I love it!  I actually brought this name up the other day, but DS is Jack and that seemed to set up a really bad historical theme.

I think giving him such a solid mn like Thomas would give him options.

Lindon or Landon seems better IMO than Lyndon. Lyndon looks to feminine to me.
