Confession!

So we had a grand opening of Ikea just three weeks ago here.  And it is FABULOUS!  But I have to blame said grand opening for the nesting instinct hitting me a little (a lot?!) earlier than usual in this pregnancy.  I've been 4 times since it opened!  And 2 of those times were today and yesterday.  In my defense, we can completely afford the items I bought and they are really useful items I've been wanting for our house for a while.  But still!  If I don't cool it (it is possible I'm addicted and now require a 12 step program!), DH is totally going to have to confiscate my debit card.  Thank you, Ikea!

Re: Confession!

  • I love Ikea.  Like, a lot.

My problem is my unhealthy obsession with Anthropologie.  There are so many things I want from Anthropologie, but everything is crucially expensive. Whyyyyy?

Our Ikea doesn't open until after the baby is born :( But I started nesting this week anyway - I never nested with DD so this is weird to me.

Oh, I love Anthropologie too.  But there isn't one here in Italy.  So I'd have to mail order.  And that just takes way too long with the military mail system, so it makes the prices seem even more not worth it lol.  But I do remember saving up after DH's last deployment so that I could afford a beautiful dress from Anthropologie to wear to his homecoming.  Worth every penny and it is still my favorite dress in my closet :)

Buh, I am so jealous that you have a dress from Anthropologie!  The only thing I've ever purchased from them was a cup.  Well, two cups.  They were these monogrammed tea cups that I snagged for $4 each for my mom and stepmom for Mother's Day.

Actually, I'm planning on saving up to get a few nicknacks for the nursery, because they have a few hardware items that go perfectly with my theme.  =)
