Is this progress?

Just for a quick update - I was nearly put in a predicament of having to be induced while 0 dilated, 0 effaced or have a c-section due to low fluid levels.  But it turns out I was able to get my fluid levels back up yesterday by drinking tons of water, so I'm back to just hanging out and waiting for something to happen.  My doctor seems willing to let me go to 42 weeks if there's no further complication.

But I've had NO progress at all, and I've been really concerned there's some problem.  Well, this morning I'm pretty sure I lost my mucous plug.  It was clear - not red, not pink - but definitely the consistency of gel.  That's the mucous plus - right?

So what does that mean - anything?  Is it normal to lose it this late in the game, if your baby is just coming late?  Do I finally start dilating/effacing?

I'm pretty sure I lost my plug and it was completely clear and surprisingly large.  I lost it on Thursday but I don't know if anything has changed internally.  I was seen last Tuesday and don't go in again until Friday...  sorry I'm not more helpful

Sounds like MP to me. I lost mine when I dilated to 2 cm, so hopefully that's the case for you too. I don't know if you can lose it without being dilated.  Unfortunately, it doesn't give any timeline for labor, but it's something!

Usually your mucus plug would have a dark reddish/brown color mixed in with it. It will look like mucus or snot. I have lost my plug and still get some clear gel  looking stuffy. So I dont think its your plug or not all of it. It may be coming out in parts though.
