I think we are back to this our original pick for a boy's name (for today at least lol). I know both are accepted spellings, I think I am leaning towards Kellan at this point but was just curious as to everyone else's preference. Which do you think is the more common spelling? MN is Shane btw.

Thanks! I think we will, it fits all of our criteria, and as an added bonus my dad just mentioned last night that Kellan Winslow was one of the all time great Tight Ends in the NFL, which I had totally forgot about. We are big football fans so I thought that was kinda cool.
My cousin is Kellen (male) so that's what I'm used to. Kellan looks wrong, but that's because I've never met anyone with that spelling.
Kellen is ranked #429 and Kellan is #632 according to SSA.

I like Kellan
Well, my son's name is Kellen, so I prefer that spelling. I think the a is more feminine.
When I was a teacher, I had a male student and that was how he spelled it. He was named after Kellen Winslow, and Kellen Winslow Jr (MU alum, like me). There was a girl Kellan that same year at school.
And there is also a Kellen Moore, a college fb player and my former student Kellen plays fb for Utah State. All of them are -en.
The only -an I know is the guy from Twilight!
