My son is 6mos about to be 7mos at the end of the month. Should he be sitting up on his own??? Or is it just me trying to hurry him along...lol

most babies sit up around 6 months. However i have known some that don't sit on their own til around 9 months.  sometimes it depends on simple things like do you prop him up on the couch or do you sit him in a bumbo? proping on the couch for example helps build the muscles needed to sit where the bumbo holds them up.
