I so wanted to Play! No fizz for me. Btw: my dh thinks I'm nuts. I was reading this thread, ran upstairs and peed in a cup. He's like what are you doing? Told him I was testing a hypothesis for a science experiment. He asked if I was really missing school...I teach 6th grade science.

This thread is hilarious! I had to play along out of curiosity since DH & I both have strong feelings our LO is a boy. I peed into one cup, poured it into one with the baking soda in it, and it turned into a frothy white fizz! I can officially update with results in approximately 8-12 weeks... whenever we can find out, seeing as I'm not even 9 weeks yet.

OK, so who is peeing directly into the baking soda cup and who is pouring from one cup to the other? Do you think that might make a difference? I'm definately trying this sometime soon so I want to get it right!
Married 5/31/08 * TTC#1 9/09 - 2/11 after anovulatory diagnosis and TTC for 1 1/2yrs with several medicated cycles and one chemical pregnancy, we have our first bundle of joy!

I did both and the result was the same, although it was easier to pee into one cup and pour the pee into the baking soda so that you could see what was happening.

Well, I won't know if the results are correct until next Wednesday when I have my anatomy scan, but my baking soda results are ALL BOY. It fizzed like you wouldn't believe....and my baking soda is kinda old, too....so I was worried. But I ended up with tons of fizz!

Really late to the game, I won't know until end of April of our gender but mine was flat, no fizz at all. I peed in one cup and poured into another cup with 2 tsp room temp baking soda. I even took the cup swirling it around to mix together and no fizz at all!
is there a rule to how many weeks along you are for it to work? I want to try! I am hoping for a girl but for some reason I feel boy-ish but all my friends say girl. although I'm worried this will make the next 8ish weeks go by sooooo slow lol

Ok I did it again and just like the first time I got the small bubbles and white on top, it's not a lot but definitely has some fizz.
I read more closely online and everything says to pee directly into the cup so that is what I did.

it fizzed like old soda or champagne and then started to fad away with a white bubble ring around the edge.
