Jad doesn't do it for me. If it were short for something like Jaden then maybe but I can't stand Jaden Smith (Will Smith's son) so that really doesn't appeal to me either. That being said, if you and your DH like it then use it! I have a couple of names on my girl's list that people hate. I don't really care, it's not their child.
Not a fan. In my head I pronounce it rhyming with "Chad" which I think would be confusing for people (since it sounds so similar when pronounced that way).
i like hearing all your opinions! i know its a very different name. and it would be pronounced Jahd.
the meaning is: Benevolent,desiringtohelpothers
I like Talia, although, I would spell it the spanish way: Thalia, but only because that's how I grew up seeing it. Jad is NMS but if it relates to your family or culture then I wouldn't worry about it too much.
Talia is beautiful and has a lovely meaning. Jad is terrible, IMO. I can't find it on any of the more reliable baby name sites, so it confirms my impression that it looks and sounds completely made up. Not a fan, sorry. I MUCH prefer Jude.
I love Talia! Jad doesn't seem too weird to me because I knew a bunch of Jeds and Juds growing up- but I agree with PPs, it seems like it's short for something.

Re: What do u ladies think of this name??
How do you even pronouce it? Like Jade? Or Jahd?
FWIW, it's NMS.
Talia is ok, but NMS. I had a very sweet student named Talia once.
Jad is just weird IMO.
Thats me exactly lol
I'm not sure on the pronounciation, so I'm not a fan. It kind of looks like it's missing a vowel or something.

In my friend's case, it's short for Jadallah.
