when can you hear baby's hb on a doppler?

What is the earliest you can hear LO's heartbeat on a doppler and which dopplers do you recommend?  I have to wait a month til my next appt and I know I'm gonna go crazy worrying how the baby is doing and being able to hear the heartbeat would be wonderful but I'm not sure if 10 or 11 wks would be to early?

It is different for everyone, but I was able to find the HB on a doppler at 9 1/2 weeks.  I have the sonoline B 3 mhz, and I love it!!  I would definitely recommend it.  I ordered it on Amazon for about $50, but I heard that Amazon doesn't sell them anymore, so you might have to google it.

I was able to hear at 9w1d on my Sonoline B 3mhz. I purchased mine on Ebay from eastshoremedical out of Chicago. I know that is really early but I followed all of the suggestions:

Have a full bladder, use a rolled up towel under your hips/small of your back, look lower than you think you should and be patient! In addition, I watched a couple of "how to" videos on you tube. There are some good ones where you can hear the difference between your heartbeat/an artery and what the baby should sound like.

The doppler is keeping me sane and I listen every day for less than a minute. Good luck with your decision and I hope you love it if you get one!!

Thanks Ladies! I just ordered the Soneline B 3mhz!  It says it will take 3-8 days so I'll be atleast 9+ wks by the time it gets here which means I wont be tempted to use it to ridiculously early!!! I appreciate all the advice!
