I was in heels, skinny jeans, and still going out at night (just not drinking!). Now, I'm a mommy of 2 beautiful boys and just bought a MINIVAN!!! How have you changed since this time last year?

Re: This time last year...
Yes.
This time last year I was planning my maternity leave, out of breath after walking up a flight of stairs, longing longing longing for a glass of wine (that I am drinking now), gagging at the smell of Dreft, and enjoying a clean and clutter free home.
This time last year we were living in a different house across town, the babies were just learning how to walk, DH was getting ready to leave for a month long training session to prepare for this deployment, and I was worried about how I was going to keep things under control with the kids by myself for a whole month (and they were only 1 and SO well behaved then!), and we were in the mode of getting ready to say goodbye.
Now we're in a different house, the "babies" are INSANE toddlers who never.stop.moving. while they're awake, and DH has been gone for almost 8 months. We're on the tail end of this deployment, and I feel like a pro for keeping everything running by myself for so long with two absolutely crazy kids. A very tired, stressed, frustrated, and overworked pro... but still, it's a good feeling. And now we're counting down until he comes home so soon! (Ok, so only in the military does a few months count as "so soon" but yay!)
This time last year I was pg with the twins but feeling pretty good. My H and I were joking with our friends, who had just built a brand new house in a new subdivision, that we should sell our bungalow and build a house on the empty lot right next door to them.
Who knew that in a month from that conversation that our old house would be SOLD! and the builder would be excavating our lot -- right beside our friends. Hahah. Love our new house and our neighbours!
Well, *I* haven't changed much in the past year (well, I was putting the boys to bed in cribs with their binkies, and changing diapers, none of which I'm doing now, but that's changes that they've made, not me.)
However, four years ago, I was a couple of months from finding out I was pregnant. Four years. Man, time goes by in the blink of an eye.
How to tell my boys apart
The different types of twins and triplets
Jack, Sydney and Carynne, Annaleigh, JW, Eden...forever in our hearts.
My blog * We made the national news!
Skinny jeans? What are those?
Last year at this time I was still huffing and puffing around NYC thinking- Twin pregnancy, this is a breeze!
4 Fresh IVF cycles + 1 FET where embies didn't survive the thaw = 2 perfect little men!
sFET 11/9/11 - Beta 11/18 BFP!
This time last year I was 24 weeks pregnant with my babies. We had our nursery furniture in pieces all over the house because I was paranoid/superstitious about setting things up too early. DH thought I was nuts when he'd suggest putting together a crib or armoire and I'd be on the verge of tears telling him "NO!"
Oh yeah, and my house was clean.
It is so funny you posted this because I have been having "this time last year thoughts" all week - my boys turn 1 on Saturday and I have been feeling very sentimental about it.
Yesterday was, "this time last year, I went to my OB for a regular appointment and that's when I got sent to the hospital and things started going downhill."
So, today is "this time last year, I was on modified bedrest and soooo uncomfortable but had no idea that my boys would be coming 4 days later."
This time last year I was working full time in Virginia, planning a vacation to the Dominican Republic with my husband, and taking scuba classes!
Now I'm pregnant with twins, living in New Mexico, and a SAHW, soon-to-be SAHM - things really do change!
This time last year I had 2 little boys who were sleeping through the night, only had to be fed bottles and when I put them down, they didn't move. They were SO EASY then! I was also pumping 4 times a day and felt like I spent more time with my pump than I did with my husband! And I never in a million years thought that in a year I would be pregnant!
Now, I'm 15 weeks pregnant, chasing after 2 very busy toddlers and more exhausted than ever!
