DS blood tests are back!

The nurse left a message earlier that his blood tests for thyroid and general screening (he hasn't grown in a year) came back normal...which is great, but she said they'd see me in two months at his well check...I will call back on Wed to verify what I'm supposed to be doing in the meantime.

I am still waiting to hear back from the occupational therapist to see about the picky eaters group and individual sessions...I did talk him into trying a couple spinach leaves with dressing on them and he said it was good...so maybe getting his blood taken scared him and now he'll start trying foods and maybe enjoying them! Or maybe I should go drop several hundred dollars on him for clothes and shoes in his current size, take the tags off and wash them and then he'll suddenly grow a ton since that's what always works for me!  Oh and Monopoly Jr is AMAZING!!! He insists on being the banker and can make change and pay different amounts using different combos...love that he's caught onto it so well!

  • I know physical touch is important to the growth rate in infants.  I have a tiny guy on my hands (oldest SS) and I try to get in some hugs and hair tousles, but he's getting "too old" for all that he says.  I don't really know that it works with older kids, but I'd try to get some extra snuggle time with your guy.  It can't hurt, right?
