So, I love the name Coco. I know its a bit... different. I just think it sounds adorable and Id go with a classic middle name. My husband thinks I'm nuts and suggests names like "Powder, Crisp and Beans" haha. Should I let this name go?

Yes. Your child will get made fun of big time and if your DH doesn't like it then you need to pick something else.
Our first family dog was Coco. That said, I think it makes a cute nickname, but a terrible given name. Unless you're Coco Chanel (real name Gabrielle btw) it would be difficult to be taken seriously with such a cutesy name.
Just given that your DH is not a fan you need to let it go. That is unless you can get him to agree to use it as a nn or mn. I just think of cocoa puffs.

I wouldn't do it. Coco may sound cutsy as a kids' name, but when they become a teen or an adult, they will REALLY get made fun of and not be taken too seriously.
I do love the name, but I don't have the balls to put it on a birth certificate. I would definitely use it as a family NN. All the pp's have given you some great suggestions for full FNs. I like Corinne the best.
Cute for a little girl, but not so much for an adult. Maybe choose a longer name and use it as a nn?
This. I was listening to NPR's coverage of the Libyan conflict and there was a really professional female reporter covering live from Libya - and then the anchor said, "Thank you, Coco." Really kinda blew the professionalism thing. I realized in that moment that it would be a name you'd have to live down in many professions. She was excellent, but her name was rather a liability. Go for it as a nn.
In my opinion, I think it's fine if you use it as a nn, but not as the full name. (Same as Lulu, Gigi, Mimi, etc...) Like maybe for Cora, Coraline or Courtney.
I think it's an adorable nickname. We know a little girl named Colette who goes by Coco. But I think it's more versatile if you do a longer name and Coco is a nickname.
I'm with everyone else. Cute nickname for a little girl, not so great for a grown woman. I'd pick a name that could have Coco for a nickname instead of making Coco the legal name.

I think it's darling too. DH actually really liked it- just not for the full name. Try to find a full name that Coco would work with. I think anything that starts with Co would work. Courtney, Colbie, Colleen...

I love it as a nn but not a full name. What about Colette or Cosette with the nn Coco?

I have a secret love for this name, but I'd never actually do it (keep in mind it was Coco Chanel's nickname, not her given name).
Lots of more formal names offer the nickname Coco, though, like Cosette, Cordelia, Coraline, Corinne, etc.

I knew a Nicole who went by 'Coco' for a long time as a kid
I wouldn't use Coco as a given name though

PLEASE let it go!
Team husband!
MJ, are we from the same town? I knew a girl that exactly fits that description.
OP, I actually know a male CoCo (his full name is Cicerone)
Save it for the family dog, not a child who will someday want to be taken seriously.
Sorry.. I'm with your husband!
ice-t's nasty skanky hooker-looking wife's name is Coco.
No-no.

This is exactly who I thought of when I read the title. I would post pics but they would definitely be NSFW!
