Other than a baby, which you all know, DUH!
Dh and I are putting in our 30 days notice for our apartment lease when we pay rent on the first. We are going to pack up all of our stuff in a uhaul and move...
BACK TO CALI.
I grew up there, and we are hoping it is a better area for job opportunities in the town that my mother and grandparents live in. Although I am NOT happy about leaving oh lovely Seattle, I am somewhat glad to be going back around my family and friends.
The hardest part is... I am moving temporarily in with my grandma and grandpa until I can find an apartment and a job. (The hunt has already started. They are older, and are too nosy! And they are renovating the back of the house, so it would be off limits to me because of the dust.) andd...
Dh is joining the military. =(
We are not thrilled about it, but it is honestly our last option. We have had *** of luck finding jobs here, and hes just frustrated. The military would offer us housing, medical, and financial support. It is a BIG step, but something that Dh has decided he needs to do for our family.
YIKES.
Re: MORE big changes coming soon..
I'm going to make an AWESOME big brother.
Woah, that is a lot of changes. I really hope the changes work in your favor, and I know it can be stressful.
What branch is your H joining in the Military. It's a great opportunity for his and your families future. My H was a Marine before we were married and still has part of GI build to use, he basically can go to college for free. There is nothing like serving your country either, you and him will be proud!
Zista, it was so great meeting you too! I had so much fun, and felt like I learned ALOT.
CCM, he is considering the airforce of the navy. I am shooting for either because I have had family in both. I know it would give us much more of a solid ground than we have now!

Wow! I wish you all the best of luck.. Im glad I met you on Sunday- I was going to ask you to do something some time too- since I'm new here too
) Not that you asked, but I think the Air Force is the most family oriented of all the other branches of the military (my ex was AF). I can't speak for the Navy but don't they go out for long stretches of time on ships? That'd be hard.. but at least you'd be near family and friends back in Cali. My ex never went anywhere when we were together- his assignment was always one place and it was very stable. HTH
)
Depending on his quals, if the AF is an option I say go for it!! We (as an Army family) are jealous of all the luxuries the AF gets!! They have a Starbucks and a Baskin Robbins in there BX and it's huge!!!! LoL You can see where my priorities are!
But honestly, as an Army wife I can tell you that it will be hard, but the pride alone that you will have in your husband is an amazing feeling. The military is a lot of give, with sometimes little take, but it is a great and honorable opportunity. Best of luck to you!!
Good luck to you and your family on your new ventures.
