I think DD realized DS isn't leaving

For the last few months DD has been almost oblivious to DS's existence besides the occasional throw a book at his head or asking for the "baby." But now that he is "talking," playing and doing more than just sleeping and eating all day, she is acting out in every way possible to get attention. I think today when I get home I'm going to try and take some special time for just her because we spent the entire afternoon yesterday yelling at her for everything. Any other tips? When did your 1st realize the 2nd wasn't just a visitor?

Obviously I don't have any advice yet, but I am expecting my son to get really mad when he realizes the new baby isn't leaving.  I babysit my niece twice a week and while he loves her, she always goes home at the end of the day.  I think when he realizes no one is coming to get his sister, we'll probably be in the same boat.  I hope someone has good advice for you!
