newbie ?: BG vs Kawaii

We're planning on using mostly pockets and AI2s.  We have some BG (3.0 and 4.0) and Mud Butts that we got as gifts and I love them!  I was looking at prices today at Kelly's Closet, and I'm wondering why the cost for BG (or FB, HH, etc) is so much more than for Kawaii's.  They seem to be the same as the BG - am I missing something?

All diaper brands have different prices. Kawaii are on the lower end, some people love them, some people don't; just like any diaper. It all depends on the fit on your baby.

The materials used for the Kawaiis is much cheaper than for the bgs.  Plus, they're made in China with who knows what type of labor.  Which all adds up to why they are cheaper.

I have a kawaii where *all* of the stitching popped out.  Not just a little seam, everything gave at once.

Thanks ladies!  I thought it was maybe a quality issue, but wanted to check if they were different in some other way.

I love my Kawaii's I have the original cross over tab ones.   I haven't had any problems with them, they actually seem to hold more than my BG 4.0s.  I like both brands, but the Kawaii's are also bigger, so they will fit longer.  I also love the price.  We have six Kawaii's and six BG 4.0s and we are going to get six more of each of them, they work great for overnight and long trips.  I haven't had one leak at all.  We also have Flips, and Sunbaby's we like both of these too.

I have three Kawaiis and the bamboo one (I think bamboo) is trim but the other two are fluffy, fluffy-more than BG.  But we have had no issues with function. 

My stash is 80% BG btw.

I love my kawaii's but bg's hold up much, much better IMO.

I purchased both Kawaii and BG.  After washing them up my Kawaii kinda pilled up, but I think that is because the Kawaii is a fleece material and the BG is a Suedecloth.  The Kawaii are a bit bigger.  The soakers on both diapers are almost identical.  The Kawaii are cute with all the prints.   Although My baby isn't here yet, and I haven't used them the best way to describe them is to compare them to my grocery shopping that the BG is a name brand and the Kawaii is the store brand - still gets the job done just different.  There are alot of positive reviews of Kawaii on Youtube.
