Best way to prep pre folds?

I just got an order of prefolded diapers in the mail and I'm confused as to how I should prep them. FWIW they are unbleached cotton.

Cold pre rinse? Hot/warm wash? Is any detergent needed? Do I need to dry them after each wash? I've read somewhere that you can boil them and reduce the number of times you need to wash them. True?
